Story, music, performance and the people in the room. Everything I do lives somewhere between those four.
I was one of those awkward teenagers who found a kind of salvation in the theatre. Everything since has been an attempt to hand that same thing to someone else.Leeann, on how it started

Original curriculumSounds of Home
A choir curriculum that teaches musical language through listening, imagination, repetition and song. Children hear it before they name it.
Every musical world has a place where the music comes to rest. Do is Home. Once a child can feel that, the other worlds are just a change in the weather around it.

The studio, and everything that grew out of it.
Two actors opened an acting studio in North Phoenix in 2007. It was supposed to be a place to teach what they knew. It became a place a lot of people call home.
Leeann and Matthew Dearing built Dearing Acting Studio together, and the ventures that followed came out of the same room: a casting company, a weekly improv show, a summer movie camp, a comedy channel. Leeann is in the founding story of every one of them.
Acting classes for kids, teens and adults, script and improv, in a studio theater in North Phoenix.
Casting for commercials and productions across Arizona.
A clean, fully improvised comedy show. A new play every week, gone by 8:30.
Kids write, shoot and premiere a real movie in a week.
